Substitute Teacher

Sarasota Christian school is currently seeking substitute teachers. It is preferred that qualified candidates possess a Bachelor's degree and teaching experience. Qualified applicants are asked to please submit the "Substitute Application Form", resume and a 3-4 paragraph statement of faith.

Lower School Teacher (K-6)

Sarasota Christian School is seeking a highly motivated teacher who is eager to engage students in active learning while infusing faith into their instruction.  As an SCS faculty member you will join a highly qualified and deeply devoted team of teachers committed to equipping students with a love for Christ, a passion to learn, the courage to lead, and a commitment to serve.

 

The candidate chosen for this position will plan and organize an age-appropriate instruction program in a Christian learning environment that guides and encourages students to develop and fulfill their academic and spiritual potential.  Core subjects include English Language Arts, Math, Science, Social Studies and Bible.  This is a full-time position.

Key qualifications and skills include:

·       Applicants are required to have a minimum of a bachelor’s degree. State of Florida teaching certification or a transferable teaching certification is preferred.

·       Applicants should feel comfortable integrating Biblical content into their courses on a regular basis.

·       Applicants should feel comfortable leading and teaching students Biblical concepts in chapels and small group settings.

Staff Positions Available

Maintenance Assistant

The Maintenance Assistant is responsible for completing various facility maintenance tasks as assigned by the Director of Business Services in coordination with the Facilities Manager and assisting with certain custodial housekeeping duties. A base schedule of 6 hours/day with 1/2 hour off for lunch is assumed, though flexibility in schedule and workflow are crucial to respond to unforeseen and  after-school needs that arise.
