What is difference between the annual, capital and endowment giving?
In practical terms the annual giving program can be thought of as the school’s checking account (money to be used in the current year for expenses) and the endowment as its savings account (keep capital, gain interest). Capital gifts are usually for physical plant needs over and above the operating budget.
Why doesn’t tuition cover everything?
As with the majority of private schools tuition doesn’t cover all the costs incurred to educate each student. To attract and retain talented faculty, keep student-teacher ratios low, insure that our facilities provide exceptional learning environments, and to support all our curricular and co-curricular programs we are committed to keeping our tuition rates low in order to make a Christian education affordable and accessible to all students. This also allows individuals to make up the difference with a tax-deductible gift to the school verses a higher tuition payment that has no tax benefits.
