Igniting Minds. Infusing Faith

Learn & Serve Opportunities

The concepts of giving back and impacting the world for Christ are hallmarks of the Sarasota Christian difference.  We bring to life Jesus’ teachings to serve others through a variety of local and international experiences.  Locally, our entire high school student body participates in a day of service giving back to non-profit organizations that provide helpful services to our community.  We host local food drives, teddy bear drives, and clothing drives.

Beyond the Sarasota community our seventh grade students participate in a three-day mission trip to Miami and elementary students decorate boxes in which Thanksgiving meals are delivered to missionaries in the Bahamas, Dominican Republic and Haiti by Agape Flights.

Internationally, each grade level raises funds for their international school partnerships.  Recently, three high school seniors traveled to Managua, Nicaragua for a mission/education trip partnering with the senior class’  international school, Place of Hope.  They developed relationships with the children in various settings such as games, tutoring and language exchange. The students lead daily devotionals in Spanish, worked on a sustainability water project, kept a daily video journal as well as experienced Spanish culture through relationships, church services, games, language and food.
