ABOUT THE LIBRARIAN
Our SCS library is staffed by Elisa Hansen, a full-time, professional librarian. She holds a B.A. in Art History, an M.A. in Art History, an M.A. in Library and Information Science, plus she completed a one-year program in research librarianship at the Royal School of Information Science in Denmark.
Ms. Hansen loves teaching at SCS, and thinks it’s fun and exciting to help children to learn to love reading and find their way through the growing world of information. She has worked as a library teacher at an international school in Copenhagen, Denmark, and as a college librarian. She teaches art history on weekends at Eckerd College in St. Petersburg, has taught at Ringling School of Art and Design, and spent many years as a museum curator and educator, both in the US and Europe. She loves to travel, has written a published travel book, and traveled all over Scandinavia and Finland writing reviews of hotels and inns.
